Who we are

Virgin River Construction is a B-100 licensed general contractor based in Washington County, Utah. We handle everything from ground-up builds and full remodels to small jobs like replacing an outlet or fixing a broken sprinkler pipe, backing every project with the same farm-tough work ethic that started it all.

How it started

I’m Jerek Spendlove—raised on a southern-Utah farm where you learned to fix whatever broke with the tools on hand. After a few years moonlighting as the neighborhood handyman, I took the leap, grew the crew, and turned that side hustle into Virgin River Construction. Today we blend farm-born grit with general construction know-how to give clients honest craftsmanship without big-city fluff.

How we work

  • Smart labor mix. We self-perform framing, drywall, tile, finish carpentry, and paint when it keeps costs lean and quality high. Specialized tasks—HVAC, major electrical, engineered steel, etc.—go to trusted subs we manage start to finish.

  • Realistic schedules. We won’t slap a deadline on the wall just to win a bid. Your timeline depends on scope, materials, and permitting, and we spell that out up front so there are no “surprise” delays.

  • One point of contact. You deal with me, not a phone-tree. Questions get straight answers, fast.

  • No shortcuts—ever. If it wouldn’t pass muster on my own place, it doesn’t leave the punch list.

Values we live by

  • Work hard, talk straight.

  • Measure twice; own the mistakes.

  • Leave every site cleaner than we found it.

  • Build for the long haul, not the follow-up call.

Our process

  1. Site visit & consult. Walk the space, hear your vision, flag potential hurdles.

  2. Detailed quote. Line-item breakdown of labor, materials, and realistic time frames.

  3. Build phase. We self-perform or supervise subs as agreed, keeping you updated with photos and check-ins.

  4. Walk-through & sign-off. We don’t call it done until you’re happy and everything’s squared away.
